Au Revoir Simone

I've been digging this song by Au Revoir Simone for a little while now, and stumbled upon this pretty little video:

A couple of related tidbits about me that you may not have known:
1- If I could be anything in the world, not accounting for current skills, I would be a dancer.
2- I had my tongue pierced when I turned 21, (each milestone birthday makes me want to do something totally new) unfortunately, I had surgery when I was 22, and was not able to get it back in afterwards.

My cousin Abbie!

My cousin Abbie turns 4 tomorrow! To commemorate, I did a little session with her out in the snow today.

I happen to think she's a pretty adorable model :)

I had to bring the sled out! I love her little crinkly nose :)

These are just so cute.

Happy Birthday, Abbie! I love you!

Lauren and Kyle are Engaged!

Lauren and Kyle are almost too perfect. They are so beautiful, and smart and sweet that it's just not fair to the rest of us :) These two are getting married next September, and I was very excited to shoot their wintery engagement session! Especially when they wanted to start out at the UofM baseball stadium!

Kyle's a former UofM baseball player! It was so cool getting to explore the stadium- even if it was covered in snow :)

You have to use a chain link fence when at a baseball field.

I call this next series "Two grown-up people in love on a bright purple, child's sled" :)

So cute!

Aren't they stunning?!

Rock shot!

I love this last one. So cozy in the cold!

Thanks, Lauren and Kyle for a great session!

Lieutenant-Colonel Scheidler's Family!

LTC Paul Scheidler is currently stationed in Iraq. As a part of Operation: Love Reunited I did a portrait session with his wife and kids so we can send him a little glimpse of home while he's deployed!

I would like to take a moment to sincerely thank those serving this country. Not only our soldiers, but also their families, who carry the burden and responsibility just as they do. Thank you for your dedication and your sacrifice.

Now, a little preview of their session!

Everyone in the family has some patriotic bling!

Like father, like son.

Wearing dad's boots, hat and jacket!

Paul's girls.

Love this one :)

Happy New Year!

2008 was a pretty wonderful year for me, and it's definitely got me wondering what 2009 will bring!

I just wanted to say thank you to all of my clients and friends for making last year everything that it was for me. I've put together a little "year in review" wedding slideshow for you all! :)

Best wishes to all of you in the new year!
